Washington February 28 The report to President Hoover estimates public utility construction expenditures for 1930 will exceed 1 400 000 000 and affect every city and town in the country The Sloan committee chairman said plans accelerated with no major modification since November and expenditures through March 31 by electric gas and water utilities will total about 204 000 000 a 12 per cent rise from the first quarter of 1929 The total 1930 construction is expected to be higher than 1929 indicating acceleration of the program Continued on page 2
