Railway unions plan wage rise proposal for rail workers
Cleveland June 18 The Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen and Order of Railway Conductors will hold joint November meetings to seek a wage increase from about 200 railroads for trainmen and conductors. President W G Lee notes 1920 wage cuts totaled around 12 percent and a boost is needed to restore 1921 reductions. A conference with railroad managers scheduled for June 29 was postponed to October or November due to many presidents' attendance at the London international railway congress.
