Land Board Holds Petition on Right of Way Cruz Through State Lands
The state land board put the farmers petition for a 156 acre right of way easement for the Scobey Gohein extension of the Great Northern railroad in abeyance pending inspection by the state land agent and legal review by the attorney general. In Yellowstone county the board leased a half section near Comanche to Fairway Farms Corp tied to its demonstration farm, part of a Rockefeller foundation funded landlord tenant experiment with a plan to let tenants purchase land while operating it.
