Attorney General Upholds Petroleum County Integrity
Attorney General Foot finds Petroleum county remains intact despite a 1925 Fergus county boundary act. She cites no clear legislative intent to abolish Petroleum county in the act text or title, and notes constitutional limits require the subject be stated clearly. The opinion aligns with court precedent granting power to create or dissolve counties only when intent is explicit.
