High Court affirms Hale will contest ruling
Judge Anton J. Horsk y of Lewis and Clark district court upheld the verdict denying E. A. Hale nephew the claim of undue influence by Lutie Gibson White niece beneficiary in the Hale will. State Supreme Court justice Albert J. Galen writes the opinion, finding no direct proof that influence was exercised on the testator to secure the will. Mere opportunity or fiduciary relation without direct mind influence does not prove undue influence, and the burden remains with the contestant.

Winners in Crop Extermination Contest Under Bureau Auspices
Floyd Burton won with 3268 points and Ed with 2696 in a crop extermination contest held under Bureau auspices. Helena to East Helena participants listed among many named individuals. A total of 287 magpies were killed and magpie eggs destroyed along with gophers. Prizes include 40 dollars from the county farm bureau 50 dollars from the Rotary and Swanis club and 120 kicks from the Lewis and Clark Poultry association to be distributed among winners.
