Rear Admiral David F Sellers says Sandino and his guerrilla followers have abandoned the fight and left the country, with rebels dispersing as the navy secures peace. Cattle Stampede Through Kansas City Streets After Train Wreck
Kansas City Mo July 24 AP An old fashioned roundup in the business district sent policemen and stockyard cowboys chasing 185 Hereford cattle after a Santa Fe train wreck near Union Station. Cattle charged into doorways and lawns frightening residents as crews cleared the wreck on the eastbound line. Damages including livestock were expected to total up to 1000000 with seven cars and the locomotive badly damaged and eighteen cattle killed.

Ohio River Packets Race Near New Richmond
The packet Chris Greene defeated the Betsy Ann by two lengths in a 20 mile river race from Cincinnati on the Ohio River. Official time noted around six hours and twenty three minutes as cars crowded the highway and spectators cheered the wake of the steamers under evening skies.
