Clarence J. McElsroy of Medursville Indiana was found by an Indian in the jungles of Oaanon Moxico seventeen days after a wreck that left him and American companion Rey Gare dan missing following a tropical storm. The Honduras crash had killed another survivor.
Albany, Nov. 205 P—Governor Roosevelt discussed farm land, water power, and farm relief with farmers and his own water power authority. Edward A. O’Neal of the American Farm Bureau Federation led a delegation and said the group is non partisan, unable to judge the bureau’s stance toward candidates until after Hoover’s acceptance speech.
New York July 20 Major industries increasingly favor newspaper ads over magazines and radio. The American Newspaper Publishers Association reports 435 national advertisers spent $1, ``9,285,000'' in newspapers last year. Magazine space was used by 190 firms totaling $78,317,815 and 221 used radio broadcasts costing $21,223,862.
Atlantic City July 20 1929 The American Federation of Labor urges President Hoover to back a nationwide five day week and six hour day as the cure for unemployment The federation's executive council asks William Green to press Hoover on the plan noting it should apply to white collar workers and laborers The council states the nation must either equip with machinery or accept the longer work week and day.
Rio de Janeiro reports federal forces pressing south toward Sao Paulo from Itattre on the San Paulo border as they drive a wedge toward the city. In Chicago a union calls for continued push for the six hour work day. Amarillo notes nine million bushels of the 1932 Texas Panhandle wheat crop sold.

Carl Omar Harrell and his relatives were arrested near Fall Brook after Harrell admitted involvement in the Folgar Montana State Bank robbery last year. About 2700 dollars were stolen, with 2000 recovered from the trio’s house. Harrell described as the last of a Montana gang, with other members either caught or killed.

She remains "standing by" waiting for business conditions to improve while living in a hotel apartment with her husband on Lake Shore Drive. Friends recall her philanthropy including gifts to the Chicago Civic Opera Zoo logical Garden and to the John McCormick Institute of Infectious Diseases which helped fund a serum that saved many children.
