Washington July 19 AP Four government agencies will cooperate in an exhaustive investigation of health hazards from gases used in refrigeration for homes and industry. Surgeon General Cumming announced plans to call together early next week representatives from the Public Health Service, the Bureau of Animals, the Chemical Warfare Service and the Bureau of Standards to determine procedures and cooperate in remedies.
Joe Miller, 33, wanted at Martinez for involvement in the June 22 Southern Pacific train holdup near Bay Point, was arrested tonight in a Reno card room by Officer Busey. He admitted his identity and said he planned to return to Martinez. he denied participating in the robbery that yielded about $16,000.

It will connect at Denver with a Western Air Express route from Albuquerque to Cheyenne using seven six passenger planes.

Two men were wounded in Cherokee during a bank holdup by bandits who fired a machine gun barrage across a street as they looted the First National Bank. George Herfe, a Kansas City traveler, was shot behind the car while seeking refuge in Hotel Lewis. A. A. Lawrence was hit in the shoulders near the bank as officers ordered people off the street. A bandit at a street corner fired after all had fled the scene, shattering hotel windows and prompting panic as state senator Law MacDonall sought to sound the alarm. The bandits fled with about $4,000 in cash, silver, and negotiable securities. planes and cars failed to locate them.
Washington reports Representative McClintic, Oklahoma Democrat, pressed President Hoover to clarify the U S stance on inviting British Prime Minister Ramsay MacDonald to a naval disarmament conference. McClintic warned press statements could be seen as discourteous and harm England friendly relations amid disarmament talks.

In New York the first Ayel golden rivet was driven into a main steel column of the Bank of the Manhattan Company skyscraper under construction on Wall Street. The rivet ceremony involved Raymond E. Jones vice president and Col. W. A. Starrett president of Starrett Corporation. The tower will rise over 240 feet above street level.
Merle Johnson of Cheyenne Wyo shot himself in the front yard of Laurence White, 38, a Cheyenne high school friend, after a brief argument. Johnson had packed a bag to leave Cheyenne, and the death is reported from Des Moines Iowa on July 19 via AP.
