Telegram from Mrs. O'Hare at Montetla says ten members of the abductors group were arrested and asks Governor Davis for protection. She mentions potential charges if pursued by herself or daughter Kathleen, and notes delays in events or return.
Baltimore July 2 Eugene V Debs former presidential candidate jailed in Atlanta for espionage law violations remains imprisoned. Attorney General Daugherty emphatically denied rumors of a pending release and dismissed claims of California congressman pressing for leniency as untrue and unexplainable.
