In Chicago on July 1, Mrs. Hunter and her daughter Irena flew in a Curtiss Condor to meet world record endurance flyers John and Kenneth Hunter, miners from Eparta Illinois who piloted the City of Chicago for 486 hours. Casey Jones hosted the flight through the National Aeronautic Association as the boys, famed endurance flyers, greeted their mother and sister midair with enthusiasm.

Kaltepell July 1 State Senator G Pomeroy of Lincoln county died suddenly at his Eureke home. A heart ailment was listed as the cause. He served in the state assembly since 1907 and in the state senate for two terms. He is survived by his widow and brother Judge C W Pomeroy of Kalispell. He was 64.
Thousands of race parade in New York Negro zones ends amid death
Four thousand black and white Red adherents marched through Harlem and other Negro districts to the tune of The Internationale. A Mexican communist, Gonzalo Gonzales, is fatally shot after clashing with police during the parade. Police claim a paving block caused the death of Luro, whose body was later taken to burial in Queens. The march faced dispersal as a thunderstorm broke over 10th Street and Worth Avenue.
