Shamokin Pennsylvania January 28. Jim Haskin one of the men who taught William F Cody known as Buffalo Bill Cody to be an Indian scout died tonight from age infirmities. He was 98. Haskin who carried military dispatches in the Indian wars at age 16 had been a plainsman cowhand and logging teamster and remained alert and active till late in life.
Norfolk, Va. Jan 26. The tug TL Hooper and the barge Andrew MacDonald, missing since the storm, arrived in Hampton Roads by afternoon. The barge T J Hooper and steel barge No 2 of the Wamtorn Transportation company are still missing.
