Roseville Bank Robbery Suspects Sentenced
Three men John Blackie Ryan Thomas Newman and Raymond Parker alias Richeson pleaded guilty to the Roseville Railroad National Bank robbery in which 600 was stolen. They received prison terms from five years to life after a running gun battle with Sacramento detectives. A fourth bandit known as Whitey was killed. Ryan claimed 13 prior bank robberies and earlier burglaries in Pennsylvania and Missouri. Identification of the dead was reported.
