Newark officials warned that lipsticks and kissing can carry microbes. Dr Charles W Craster said lipstick on a girl's lips acts like gelatine to trap microbes and kissing or even touching lips spreads germs. He urged people to avoid kissing to prevent public health risks.
Milwaukee dispatch reports a raid on a late night gathering in a third story room. Four men escaped by leaping through windows, sustaining injuries from broken glass and sashes, while nine others were escorted to the station. Names and exact charges not provided.

Petersburg Indiana January 16 AP Peter Dyers arrested last week after terrorizing county women by entering homes and demanding food faces charges in multiple states for strangling eight women in California three in Oregon and three in Missouri The suspect who spoke Italian or possibly Greek to an interpreter feigned ignorance of English after arrest. local officials seek connection to the nationwide killer as they compare descriptions and press for western city reports.
In Toronto on January 16 AP reports four children from the family of Mr and Mrs Augustus Geoffrey died in a two story frame dwelling that burned early today. The parents were away visiting. Victims were Loree 15 months Ellison four Leo and Mia the oldest four years. Fire blamed on overheated slave Kig Matthews 4, a disturbing but unclear note in the damaged report.
George Anderson a former Lewistown business man and brother of GC Anderson of Deer Lodge was killed near Los Angeles when a truck collided with the motorcycle he rode while en route to film the Catalina channel swim. He worked for Hollywood film companies and his body was to be brought to Deer Lodge for burial.
The Women's National Democrat club begins a series of meetings starting tomorrow in Washington. Noted speakers will include Representative Cordell Hull of Tennessee, former Democratic National Campaign Committee chair, as part of the event promoting presidential standards.

Georgie Young, a 17 year old from Chicago, recently won the Catalina Edits Net Derby with a prize of $25,000 after his widowed mother, just out of hospital, sent him on the journey to California. Los Angeles on January 16 a store holdup ended violently when Mike Trifoni, a shoe dealer, used the robber’s body as a blunt tool against three fleeing accomplices who shot at him with a firearm in front of the shop. The robber, identified as Paul Cotham, 28, died at the scene. Police say the suspect had prior burglary convictions and was linked to other escapes.

Cheyenne man Hillyer arranges burial for his mother Mrs. Lela Thillyer 68 who died after a Union Pacific train fire in a Sidney railcar. She was heating a blanket when her kimono caught fire prompting rescuers to break the door. She died that night after being taken to a Cheyenne hospital.
