Military honors for overseas nurse Miss Opp at funeral
Miss Mae Opp, daughter of Mr and Mrs Jacob Opp of this city, who served as an overseas nurse in the war, will receive military honors from Lewis and Clark American Legion Post No 9. The service includes a Catholic funeral at St Melend Cathedral with burial in the local cemetery. Ex-service pallbearers and Legion members will accompany the body from Wichita Falls to the church and cemetery.

Earl B. Baker of Denver shot Thomas Turns six times in a building under construction in Bree Oklahoma City. Baker, who had moved with his wife and three children six weeks earlier, claimed Burns caused domestic troubles. Five Hurt as NP Train Wrecks Near Connell Washington
Five persons were injured but none seriously when a sleeping car on Northern Pacific Train No. 1 Westbound the North Coast Limited derailed five miles west of Connell Washington around 9 30 last night. Walter McGiraff was the most seriously hurt with a dislocated shoulder and scalp wounds. Mrs Ruby Richardson 80 of New York City Miss Beatrice Alexander of Toronto each had scalp wounds. R C McCroskey of Garfield had a sprained hand and arm while Mrs McCroskey had a cut arm. The observation car left the rails while the rear Pullman was pulled from the track others continued to proceed to their destinations. The rest of the cars remained on the track. The accident was followed by news of Hays changing his stance on a banking bill before the house committees.
