Indians Attack Supply Agent Near Broadview
Cree Indians from Crooked Lakes reserve attacked and overpowered a supply agent on the Canadian Pacific line north of Broadview station, stealing flour and bacon. Mounted police are summoned as more trouble is feared at Indian Head and Long Lake reserves where government buildings and stores are held by instructors and an agent.

Large land slides threaten Mound City Illinois levee
Carrie February 22 two or three small slides occurred last night and a very large one this morning on the back levee north of town endangering the city. The Wabash railway sent dirt and rock to aid. Citizens and railroad workers widen a National Cemetery road gap to let water flow and reduce pressure. Water stands at the levee crest with uncertain outcome. Public safety efforts continue.
