Mexico City Feb 21 UP Jorge Price Shaw an American from St Louis Mo said a letter received by Mexican student Vicente Aurrecoches showed plans to assassinate President Hoover. Shaw noted the letter appeared to be a hoax and that Mexican authorities began a thorough investigation. Aurrecoches was arrested but denied any part in the plot or in the Ortiz Rubio shooting. The envelope bore a crude bomb and machine gun drawing and was intercepted in the mail. Shaw informed Washington by telegram and letter.
