The Danville election riot probe continued as witnesses testified about gunfire and mob violence. Figures described white and colored factions, threats, and the riot’s buildup with alleged arms and ammunition in a real estate office.
The week saw 298 business failures, up from 278 the prior week. The Denver and Rio Grande reported gross receipts of 4 476 000 and net 2 732 000. A contract was signed for through sleepers and parlor cars from San Francisco to Chicago starting April 1.
The body of Miss Gilmore, taken from the Warren vault yesterday, showed signs of life at first but three physicians pronounced her dead at 5 PM today. The body was then reburied in the vault this evening in Yorkstown, Ohio.
The Leader's special from Harmar reports W. R. Miller found dead in his house with two bullet wounds. His wife and brother were arrested for the murder. Rumor says the wife feared losing him to her brother-in-law, but the prisoners deny any knowledge of the crime.

In Roscommon county Michigan on February 15 the will of Col Hunt a wealthy lumberman discloses a $50000 bequest to Caroline Brown mother of Artemas Ward and similar sums to Eli Perkins and Josh Billings. Hunt loved humor and owned an extensive library of humorous works.

In Yamastown Ohio on February 15 Kittie Gilmore was placed in a vault then retrieved by Undertaker Townsend to Dr Nelson’s house. Physicians believe she survived injections and differ on whether she is alive or dead. Her body lay in a coffin then was moved to a bed for several days of observation.
Hogs receipts 15,000 with rough packing 6.65 to 7.10 and 7.10 to 7.65 for packing and shipping. light hogs 6.50 to 7.25. Cattle receipts 5,000 with good to choice shipping 5.75 to 6.10 and common to medium 5.00 to 5.65. stockers 3.75 to 4.85. feeders 5.00 to 5.50. Sheep receipts 2,400 firm with ranges from 2.75 to 4.25 per cwt for inferior to fair and 5.50 to 6.10 for choice to extra. Texas sheep 2.50 to 4.50.
