Washington on February 11 the treasury said the $2 billion stabilization fund would be used to manage the dollar's international value regardless of the Supreme Court gold decision. Los Angeles February 11. A twelve year old girl Katherine Williams was found locked in the automobile seat after a hammer attack. William Hardy, twenty four, half brother of the girl, confessed after thorough questioning by Detective Lieutenants George Hill and Joe Filkas. The girl lay in Hollywood Hospital with a fractured skull and other injuries, doctors fearing death. Hardy was held on an open charge.
San Francisco reports a British cruiser Australian aided the schooner Seth Parker at 9 3 p m Pacific time taking nine crew members aboard. The cruiser remains on scene with three crew and Captain Phil Up Lord still aboard pending removal.
Washington reports show administration chiefs worried as Senate appropriations committee weighs chopping two billion from the relief bill.
