Samuel Blaine's wild ride on a hayrack misadventure

A 13 year old, Samuel Blaine, sought a "bob" ride on a farmer’s hayrack, fell into a moving rope and slid along muddy streets. He yelled in fear as the trap dragged him, ending with neighbors and the farmer steering to a grocery. He was brought home mud-splattered. his mother mournfully questioned the stunt.
