In Ohio Cincinnati January 31 a head on collision on a bridge trestle between Chesapeake & Ohio Sportsman bound for Washington and New York and Louisville & Nashville Southland inbound from Florida injured 20 to 25 people none seriously. Express car and tender of the Southland were hurled 60 feet to a street below. At least a dozen injured were treated in hospitals as crews responded. Locomotives derailed and cause under investigation.
