Tragic murder suicide at the Colorado smelter
William Busch, a boarding house keeper near the Colorado smelter in Butte, shot his seven year old son and then himself after a history of jealousy and drinking. Fire and flames consumed the house as witnesses described the grisly scene and coroner's jury concluded Busch died by his own hand with the boy killed by the pistol in his father's room.
