Purcell Prominent Helena Attorney and Former Mayor Dies
R R Purcell, a well known Helena attorney and former mayor, died yesterday at his home on Holter Street after a long illness. Born August 11 1869 in Flemingtag he practiced in Helena since 1891 and served Lewis and Clark counties as state attorney. He was elected mayor in 1904 and twice more later under the commission form, and was active in Democratic party affairs. Surviving are his widow Jane Will Purcell and other relatives.
