Charles B Colbert a longtime Montana tavern owner will be buried Thursday afternoon at Saint Peters Episcopal Church. officiating pastor L W Behnall. Pallbearers include members of the Montana Society. Survived by widow Jane daughters Mancha Colbert of 322 West Taownanen street and Mrs Robert Ferry of Milwaukee and a son Charles I Colbert of AML Ings. Mrs Colbert preceded by Walter his sister and Anton Midtolter of this city was born in Moss Norway June aa 1887 and came to America with his family at age nine settling in Montana in 1887 and owning wealth for several months before his death.
Governor Joseth M. Dixon issued a 30 day respite for Steve Byrne and Theodore Chroneapaia to prevent an August 26 hanging. Byrne and Chroneapaia were sentenced to death in Mutte but have received commutations to life imprisonment. A public hearing before the state Board of Pardons on September 14 will consider further action. The board includes Attorney General Wellington D. Rankin, Secretary of State C. Stewart, and State Autor George P. Porter.
An opinion by Attorney General A Wellington DB to Powder Reyer County treasurer John Z Wilson holds that vauntied are not entitled to a brokerage fee for county bond sales.
