Salt Lake City August 22 a petition of Mrs Nese Sullivan of Rock Springs Wyoming a stockholder for Western Loin and Bathing company seeks a federal receiver to handle the firm. The company with assets of 26000000 and 21000 blockholders across eight western states was taken over last week by John A Malta Utah state bank commissioner under an agreement of state loan authorities. The petition will be contested. An orderly reorganization is planned under conservatorship to protect shareholders and assets. Commissioners Malta and Bailey will confer with California officials to speed up appraisals of real property in California where much of the assets lie.
Washington reports that married and family men will be given first priority for new public works jobs. Secretary Perkins said the enlarged unemployment service aims to place veterans, those returning to industry, and experienced workers, with efforts to match private job opportunities to public works expenditures.
A large Washington industrial complex spearheaded by the Blue Eagle banner united more than 1,000 American workers across districts including Washlington, Montane, and Wyoming.
