Fire destroys two Asbury Park hotels during weekend blaze
A spectacular fire in Asbury Park New Jersey leveled two hotels and forced over 1,000 guests from eight others as a crowd of about 100,000 watched. Bear Invades Park Inn in Yellowstone Slain by Ranger
In Yellowstone Park a 250 pound bear entered the Park Inn lobby at dawn then climbed to the fourth floor. Ranger Leon Evans arrived and fired, killing the bruin with a shot to the head as it roamed the lobby. Ranger Tex Hammond tried to shoo the animal away earlier.
