Dearth hot-spreaders blamed for Eleventh Ave delay
City Engineer Troy Carmichael says a shortage of trained hot-spreaders is delaying Eleventh Avenue paving. Contractors have searched the Northwest for workers, with two currently in Kalispell and efforts to bring them in next week. Rodney Street paving from Sixth to Frevenll is expected to finish before cold weather. The improved street district is to be enacted at the next council meeting with bids opened soon. The mains under parking plan will replace old water lines to avoid future trenching for repairs.
