State to await favorable market for 4 percent notes
Governor J E Erickson says plans to sell the 3 million dollar state treasury note issue to redeem the general fund warrants have not been abandoned. Money market conditions drive the sale as call money rates in June were too high to attract the investment, but officials expect a return to normal and an attractive offer may appear. The board now has authority to dispose of the notes without further advertisement when conditions improve.
