Washington April 21 a Senate debate over Cal George Harvey's appointment as American ambassador to Great Britain reached remarkable length. Senator Harrison attacked Harvey as prejudiced and quarrelsome while Republicans expressed alarm at the vitriolic rhetoric. Debate touched on Harvey Weekly cartoons and past break with Wilson as lodges praised the nominee as American through and through.
