In Little Rock Arkansas relief tents sheltering more than 1000cronies. Authorities report 50 dead with several hundred injured after Wednesday night twin tornadoes across northern Arkansas. Relief efforts work to ease distress and house homeless victims.

Walker P. Inman was granted a divorce from Helene Garnet Patton Inman in Reno after a three week trial. The jury sided with Inman on cruelty grounds and he received the decree as Mrs. Inman sought $250,000 and no permanent alimony until remarriage or death. Mrs. Inman had an annual $15,000 alimony for five years and waited through deliberations with her sisters in the courthouse library.
Two monoplane crashes at Ford airport Detroit killed A. H. Kreider president of Kreider Reisner Aircraft and Capt. Alan E. T. Bruce chief test pilot of All American Aircraft. William C. Naylor chief engineer of Stout Engineering Labs suffered serious injuries. The Challenger and Ranger planes locked midair near the field center before the crash.
In Chewelah Washington April 13 a boy scout party and two advisers were rescued after clinging to a cliff edge for hours. Harold Steffanson age 12 died after a fall during the ascent. Pat Hayes Chandos Palmer Robert Nurse and William Eiseman aged about 12 survived with minor exposure. Paul Hutchinson 23 and Don Hutchinson 21 aided by 150 rescuers lowered a rope to the party from the 80 foot cliff.
