Charles E. White, 64, a Dillon WPA worker, was struck and killed by a car on the highway about a mile north of Aymstead, twenty two miles south of Dillon. The driver, Donald Manson of Butte, says White stopped a truck and started across the road for water when the collision happened. An inquest is set for Monday. White formerly lived in Butte and Kalispell. his widow, a stepson and a stepdaughter survive.
Washington reports the office of production management announced a new U S monthly airplane output record for March with 1 216 aircraft delivered. The army navy and Britain received 1 074 planes, while January deliveries reached 1 086 and February 972.
