The condemned were Peter Bardini a runner in the slaying of Roreo “Zapper” in Brooklyn, and Vomte Seif 24 of Atehnel Road ick, 20, along with Walter Barowsky 24, for the killing of Frank Pendlebury a grocer in New York City.

Fifteen persons were injured when six Burlington read's passenger cars derailed a half mile west of Axtell Nebraska as train No 9 bound for Denver traveled about five miles per hour. The locomotive and two coaches passed over the broken rail while the remaining cars left the rails, tipping several coaches. Most passengers continued west after another train was made up at Holdrege. Wreck victims were treated at Holdrege and Axtell. several were brought to Holdrege hospital. Arthur N. Wedges, a Great Northern railway brakeman, severed his left hand while chopping wood near Whitefish. Paramedics were called, and he was transported for treatment after the mishap reported Friday night.
