Memorial Services At Baptist Church In Hedrick
Union memorial services were held at eleven o'clock Sunday in the Baptist church. Rev. A. T. Shortess delivered an eloquent sermon, assisted by Rev. Scoles of the M. E. church and Rev. Sherman of the Presbyterian church. The sermon pleased the large audience, especially old soldiers. Shortess has led Hedrick’s denomination for seven years, with the church’s growth and new building reflecting his work. W. A. Vaughn of Highland Center visited Hedrick yesterday. Misses Elsworth and Purdy will offer dressmaking in Sheridan & Co's millinery rear room.
