A new copper ore discovery on the Warhorse claim of King Ston Gold Copper Mining Co lies about 1000 feet above Kingston workings. The ore contains chalcopyrite and pyrrhotite in calcareous gangue with gold and copper values, suggesting self fluxing properties and promising pay strata in tectonically altered sediments. Development is expected as early transport is assured.
Grouse hosting has been a favorite pastime since September first with good bags reported. Local hunters Cre Hairsine and O W Malogn encountered a shear and a bear incident leading to a lighthearted scuffle as Boone joined with a shotgun. Court action may resolve who bears the responsibility.

Ralph Smailes who has represented the promoters is due home tonight with TL M Rice the engineer. An expert from the master construction company is on the ground to verify promoter reports. Ample European capital backs the project and construction is expected to begin soon.
South end residents complain of chicken disappearances this summer. A. Winkler lost about fifteen birds, Fred Revery twelve, and J. Jackson of New Zealand reported losses. George Tuck, son of Ah Tuck, admitted thefts under pressure and claimed others. He allegedly threw birds into the river after sale. The 11 year old may face juvenile penalties unless his father makes restitution.
