Waiting for fir timber halts rail work on Myers Creek
Molson Washington August 14 The V and I track laying machine has stood for nearly three weeks on the east side of the Myers creek trestle awaiting Douglas fir stringers from Puget Sound. Rails and ties are on hand. when stringers arrive, steel will move toward Molson. The line is graded to Molson end. Pat Hughes finished his contract. others are near completion with ditching and west of Molson slated to finish by early September.

Hedley General Hospital Society Forms New Incorporated Body
A special general meeting of Hedley General Hospital Society, with slim attendance, appointed Harvey Tingley chairman and Frank H. French secretary. The group voted to transfer assets to the newly incorporated Hedley General Hospital Society formed August 11 1906, adopting revised by laws and electing directors. The secretary was instructed to apply to the Provincial Government for the special grant appropriated by the Legislature.

Golden Zone finds yield new vein in mining group
Last week a Gold Zone discovery emerged while investigators burned a charcoal pit. J Murphy and partners Marks Brodhagen identify a new five foot wide quartz vein with arsenopyrite carrying gold values averaging 13.60 per ton. hopes rise as drilling may strike the vein at about 30 feet depth.
