Accident at Voigt's Camp Causes Serious Injuries

On a Tuesday morning at Voigt's Camp C. 4B. Shaw was getting into his fly when a wild horse plunged, threw him out, and badly injured him. Mr. Voigt sent for medical aid, unavailable nearby due to Dr. Schon's absence. Dr. McEwen and Dr. Schon started for Voigt's Camp and had not returned at press time. Voigt estimated the injuries as very serious.

First Okanagan Valley Sunday School Teachers Meet in Vernon

The first union Sunday school teachers convention of the Okanagan Valley met in Vernon on April 20 and 21 with over twenty representatives from Methodist and Presbyterian sabbath schools from Tappen Siding to Hedley. Papers and discussions focused on deepening Sabbath school work, with plans to report at the next Vernon meeting around Easter. Hedley delegate Mrs EB Hardwick spoke on The Teachers Study Class. Officers elected for the year include Rev Craw as chairman OG P Pound as vice-chairman J A McGregor secretary treasurer and a committee including Rev Wright A P McKenzie J C Rolson Miss S M Bell GB Pound and school superintendents.
