Hearne Invites Farmers to Sell Produce from Wagons

A local farmer lists 312 acres and six Jersey cows with a ready butter market at Hearne. Butter sells 25 to 85 cents a pound, hogs fatten with buttermilk, 100 laying hens yield 35 cents a dozen, fryers at 40 cents each. He keeps some cotton, two bales 15 cents, and Hearne exempts farmers from the anti huckster ordinance, inviting wagon sales in the city.
