Community notes from Caldwell area record attendances at funerals and church events, visits among families in Bryan, Cameron, Rockdale and Austin, plus health updates and a six man football game in Milano. Busier social week includes birthday celebration for Pam Bradman at Gause Elementary.
Mothers from Cularen at Gause school visit to assist in the library duties of checking books in and out. Pam is wished many more happy birthdays as a group of local families and church members share news of community activities and visitors. Out of town guests Mr and Mrs J Q Jones and Mr and Mrs Bid Todd visited relatives over the weekend.
Ex-Chancellor Gibb Gilchrist of College Station Mrs Kate Sewell of Wills Point and Mrs Ruth Matlock of San Angelo were dinner guests of Mr and Mrs Jud Collier on Monday. The Colliers plan to attend the wedding in Freeport Saturday of Miss Lorian Pierce to Jose Rauchi of Mexico City. Others attending include Mr and Mrs G D Martin and Mrs R H Ballinger of Hearne. Mrs Jud Collier attended the Texas Home Demonstration Convention in Austin Wednesday.
The Robertson County Texas Sheriff gives notice of sale under an order of sale dated July 12 1965 in case 5306 Hearne Independent School District vs Rachel Gurode. On the first Tuesday in October 1965 between 10 am and 4 pm at the courthouse door in Franklin the property described as Lots 1 and 3 Block 405 Hearne Robertson County Texas will be sold to satisfy the judgment and costs with redemption rights for two years. The sale proceeds apply to the judgment with any remainder to law.

Mrs Lillian Eugenia Hodges died Saturday morning after long illness at Hearne hospital at age 83 8 months 6 days. Born January 12 1885 in Leon County she lived there before moving to Hearne 30 years ago. Funeral Sunday September 19 at 2 p.m. Wealthy Cemetery Nor mangee Paley Reed Funeral Home in charge. Survived by son Elvis Hodges Hearne four daughters Iva Griffin Hearne one brother E J Tee Normangee and one sister Miss Iva Hodges Normangee.
At the weekend visit, Mr and Mrs Bobby Putz hosted guests including Mrs E A Tippitt of Pharr and her sister Mrs Roger T Ray and her son Rusty from Oklahoma City Oklahoma.
