Macabees Honor Norma Welch With Friday Shower

A miscellaneous shower was held Friday afternoon June 12 at Mrs. W. H. Ely’s home to honor Miss Norma Welch, an esteemed Hearne Hive member. The event followed a novel local tradition and celebrated Welch’s role in the group.

Bride-To-Be Honored With Miscellaneous Shower

A farewell party for the bride elect featured a miscellaneous shower hosted by Mesdames Ely Gray Purifoy Welch Ely and others. Guests received in the parlor with electric fans and floral decor. A Spanish dressed peddler presented handmade gifts, Miss Welch thanked the group as Miss Colbert Wilkerson Black performed. About eighty five attendees enjoyed an ice course after the tender ceremony.

Mrs Arthur Massey Dies After Typhoid Illness

Mrs Arthur Massey died Monday night after several weeks with typhoid fever. Born April 27 1884 in Lexington Texas she was the daughter of Felix and the late. She is survived by her husband two sons Gaines and Cecil Sam a daughter Ethel her mother and four brothers and four sisters. Funeral services were held at the family residence in Hearne led by Rev L H McGee.

Notice by publication commands Robertson County residents to file objections to the Final Account of J C Smith as administrator of John Stewart deceased.
