Mrs. Martha J. Tullos, nearing eighty five, recalls pioneer life in the Nueces Valley. Once the lone home amid wilds, she now lives in a modern Three Rivers house with electricity and gas, near the former pioneer cabin site. The valley became a planned, developing city with corn, cotton, alfalfa, and crops.
Notice declares Mrs Kate Dotson filed in Robertson County Texas a probate application for the will of D L Dotson deceased with letters testamentary. The hearing is set at the Robertson County Court Franklin July 5 1926 and all interested may appear to contest. The writ is to be produced with the return endorsed showing execution. June 8 1926.
Mr J E Cook and companions from Missouri City with Mrs J Felton Lane and others attended the Franklin Thurady evening event. The Girls Violin Club performed as part of the program, including solos by Kathryn Reed. Judge Joe Reed and family were present for the attraction and Kathryn Reed contributed a solo dance.
Hatch Cummings returns home from Tulane University to spend summer with his parents Dr. and Mrs. H. W. Cummings. Mrs. M. B. Biggerstaff and her baby arrive from Dallas to visit Mr. and Mrs. R. Boswell.
Miss Venia Green and Master John W. Green Jr. return home after a brief Belton stay. Mr and Mrs W D Daniels and Charles Ray Daniels of Franklin visited Mr and Mrs J H Yearey Sunday. Lola Mooney Kathleen Murphy Frances Green and Ruth Shoap, recently at Baylor College, returned home Friday. Mr and Mrs Robert Landrey and son Robert Jr and Miss Inez Horlock of Houston were guests of Mr and Mrs Jey W Horlock Sunday.
