Veterans bureau allows claims for family allowances retroactive

A new ruling enables consideration of family allowance claims for veterans' relatives previously deemed unallowable. Ex Service Men’s New York Camp to Aid Tubercular Veterans

In the Adirondack forest preserve a 21 275 acre estate is being developed by the American Legion to host a sanitarium for tubercular and convalescent veterans and later a home for aged ex service men. Drilling Near Hondo Reveals Potential Oil Pool

The Inn Oil Company's No. 1 well on the Mrs. George 4H Smith farm south of Hondo Texas stands 400 feet in oil at 927 feet. Oil men report a probable pool and expect gas pressure could make it a flowing well. The well is seventeen feet into the oil sand with casing set and may drill deeper before completion. It lies on the Hondo Creek bank about a mile from the Hondo Birdy road, the first drilled by the company in Medina County, with no prior wells within four miles.
