Edwin Mathew Brady son of Mayor P L Brady and Josephine Kingsley a Western Union employee surprised friends by marrying pastor Dr George J McNew at his home on Wednesday night January 23 The couple left for a short honeymoon in San Antonio and will return to Hearne to be at home.
Visitor F M Burkhead spent several days in Hearne helping small taxpayers with income tax returns. He found Hearne’s editorial rooms suitable as headquarters and enjoyed social time before departing for Mumford and Robertson County duties.
