Stockholders and directors gathered for the Planters and Merchants State Bank annual meeting on Wednesday. Elected as directors for 1918 were H. W. Cummings J. G. Philen R. W. Marshall W. H. Ely F. W. C. Karney W. C. Allen and W. G. Curry. Officers chosen included H. W. Cummings as president J. G. Philen as active vice president W. H. Hensley cashier and Roy O. Ely assistant cashier.

Robertson County taxpayers receive guidance from Comptroller H. S. Terrell noting attorney general opinion on the 1917 tax collection extension to January 31 1919. The notice clarifies that delinquent taxes from earlier years remain enforceable and urges prompt collection by March 31 to finalize the annual settlement.
Monday morning the Robertson County District Court convened with Judge Morehead presiding and a full attendance of grand and petit jurors. The session emphasized swift, impartial justice as jurors began work and civil and criminal matters were postponed to next Monday for settings through four weeks of the January term.
