Former bank president pleads guilty to misdemeanor
Billy R. Hall of Robinson former president of Citizens State Bank and Trust Calvert pleaded guilty in District Court Austin to one count of misapplication of $19.45 in bank funds. Judge Jack Roberts set sentencing for March 8 in Waco with maximum penalty one year in jail and a $1000 fine.

Franklin Man Wins Tourney At Booger County Bass Club
Franklin resident Billy Elliott won the February tournament at Gallo Way’s Marina on Lake Livingstone for the Booger County Bass Club. John Lee Winstead of Marquez finished second with Glenn Dierz and O Archer Hoyt Jr tying for third. Hoyt’s three pound bass earned him a reel. Thirty three members entered, with more invited to join. The club will send six top fishermen to the Top Six Tournament later in the year. Next contest is March 97 33 at Shile Marina on Lake Cenres.
