A&P Closes In Respect To Late Official Terry
The A and P store at Magnolia and Fourth will close from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday in respect to W. A. Terry division A&P superintendent who died Monday in a Houston hospital. Funeral services were set for 6 p.m. this afternoon with burial at Forest Park cemetery. Mr. Terry served A&P for 25 years.

The Shakespeare Club held its regular meeting last Thursday focusing on education as a great emergency. Mrs. R H Ballinger spoke on teaching as a fine art, Mrs J H Collier highlighted illiteracy in the district, and talks covered Modern Trends in Education and Adult Education. Miss Locke Wood joined as a new member, 26 members were served refreshments, and the club planned to meet at Mrs W C Bishop and Mrs J H Collier's home.
