For the first time local Hearne stations handling major gasoline products kept all stations closed Sunday in line with a national energy conservation trend. Operators could not give a definite closing length, saying they would play it by ear depending on product availability.

City chambers filled for an unofficial meeting with Mayor Pro-tem Miles presiding as four of six aldermen were not present. Brazos Valley Fair Association spokesman Marlin Jentsch pressed for an 80 by 45 foot metal building by March 27 to house pens and fair activities, with a Wednesday session set to resolve details. Highway Commission Approves County Work in Texas

The State Highway Commission approved the 1975-77 consolidated Texas program for District 17, including Robertson County, totaling 6.772 million dollars. It adds three new projects at 1.222 million and nine more at 5.55 million, with two Robertson County projects moving to contract.
