Survived by husband, two sons Andrew LaGrone Overton and George Thomas LaGrone Houston, four daughters Clara Romans Amarillo Vernie Rose Houston Doris Perry Pasadena Ercelle Boyd Anson, 21 grandchildren four great grandchildren, one brother Moses Haynes Rosebud, one sister Mary Williams San Antonio. Cotton Growers Strategy Meeting At La Grange
Old Cotton Belt Association of Texas discussed preserving depleted cotton acreage in Texas at a La Grange strategy meeting. They urged delaying sale of 1958 loan cotton until 1960 and releasing unused allotment to counties for redistribution. They asked farmers to declare planting intentions within 30 days to avoid forfeiture of allotments.

Clarence H. Calhoun, 81, of Marquez died in a Hearne hospital Sunday morning. A native of Robertson County, he lived in this and Leon Counties. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from Marquez Church of Christ, with Wayne Lucas officiating. Interment was in Samson Cemetery. Survived by his widow, two daughters Mrs. E. C. Smith and Mrs. M. F. Kirby, four sons S. H. Calhoun, T. C. Calhoun, James Calhoun, and W. T. Calhoun, four brothers, one sister, and 10 grandchildren.
