East Hearne to Install Curb and Gutter on First Come Basis

Mrs. Kubiak Shot Saturday in Texas yard
Mrs. John ST Kubiak, 68, is recovering after being shot in the arm at 6 10 am Saturday while walking in her yard between Hammond and Bremond. Deputy Sheriff E P Elliott says two Oklahoma men drove by and fired. one has been arrested and is held in Franklin jail, the other is being sought. The deputy calls the shooting an act of meanness and cruelty, noting the attackers did not know the victim.
