A eight month old baby boy of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Freitas drowned yesterday morning after slipping into a watering trough at their Norris Canyon Ranch. Edward Robert Freitas Jr. was last seen playing on the porch before disappearing. his body was recovered from the 4 to 5 foot deep trough and he died at Trayward Hospital. Funeral services are set for Sorensen Bros. Chapel and All Saint’s Church with burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. The child was grandson of Mrs Mae Jones of Berkeley and Manuel Silva of Maynard among others.
