Ten Injured as Truck Crashes on San Francisco Bay Span
Ten Raymond Concrete Vile Company workers were injured when a concrete truck driven by Marshall Sitea failed to stop near the Alameda county side of the Bay toll bridge. The crash sent workers sprawling. three were in critical condition. Deputy Coroner Walter Flierl said no further action was needed after investigation.

Hayward officials urge dog owners to secure licenses at City Hall from Fred Schilling. City approves PG&E contract and Castro street widening plan
The council accepted a new PG&E contract to pay a flat rate saving about 50 dollars monthly and heard of widening Castro street from Simon to west city limits, with one strip deeded. The Hayward Garden club hosts a two day flower show at the Chrysler agency sales room on Castro street. The exhibit overflows with dahlias chrysanthemums gladioli and numerous varieties drawing enthusiastic crowds and even outgrowing display space.
