Hayward Daily Review Moves to New Quarters
The Hayward Daily Review will move this afternoon to 431 Castro Street with staff concentrated in the new quarters. The building is 56 by 140 feet with a back entrance on Smalley Avenue and about four times the floor space of the old site. The move aims to provide more air and sunshine and accommodate a larger newspaper and job printing plant. Visitors will be welcome after next week, and printing will continue without interruption during the transition.

Bootlegger shot by gang during liquor delivery in San Francisco
Louis Trust Trost 48 was shot in the back at 29th and Fountain streets while delivering liquor after a telephoned order. He offered money to the two pistolmen, who took it then shot him and fled in a green sedan. Ivan Armstrong rushed him to a hospital as police found several gallons of liquor in his car.

Mrs Stukaloff Wins Insurance Verdict in 1929 Auto Death Case
Mrs Huldah Stukaloff of Tennyson widow of William Stukaloff won a $1900 insurance verdict in an Oakland justice court. The suit against American Casualty Co. was heard by Judge Wise with attorney Allermey Schofield presenting the plaintiff. The jury reached its verdict after 15 minutes of deliberation. The accident on 35th and Allendale avenues involved a vehicle striking Mr Stukaloff as he worked on a street line for the Pacific Telephone Co. He died from his injuries.
